4' x 8', 5' x 10' and 5' x 12' NESTED BASE ROUTERS
VANTECH is a new high performance concept in Nested Base Manufacturing. The Vantech series machines are engineered and manufactured in WEEKE'S NEW MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN GRAND RAPIDS, MI. The Vantech machines are constructed on a steel frame with heavy steel gussets welded to the inside of the structural base components(Fabricated tubes). This construction allows for Weeke's ability to produce the highest quality parts at positioning speeds of up to 96 M/min (vector). Because of the design the Vantech machine, acceleration rates are up to 7 times faster than those of other machines. The Vantech machines incorporate Weeke's unique high speed drilling block with Weeke's patented integrated spindle locking system. This assures consistent drill depth even in dense or inconsistent materials. The Bridge is driven by twin "Sercos" digital servo drives, connected to the PC85T control running under Windows XP Pro. All linear motion surfaces are precision linear bearings with SS covers to reduce contaminates and extend life. All electrical and pnuematic lines are fully enclosed to prevent damage. Table matrix grid is machined on the router and fully aligned with machine axes for accurate fixturing. Full coverage of all tools and working units in the machining envelope. 4 X 8 router with automatic tool changer
The Vantage 31 S is the newest Vantage model from Weeke. It features a new frame design that reduces vibration to allow high machining accuracy. It offers improved dust collection with the addition of air jets. It features an integrated tool length measuring system that significantly reduces set-up times and reduces errors. At 4400 kg (9,680 Lbs) it is the heaviest machine in its class. This machine is not equipped with a multiple vertical spindle drill head.

Nested base router
The Weeke 36L is designed primarily for Nested Base manufacturing. The machine is constructed on a heavy steel frame, with heavy steel gusset plates welded to the frame inside the base to insure stability. The design and substantial mass provide a solid, vibration free platform for the machining head. The head rides on THK linear motion guides, The X- axis is driven by twin zero backlash, pre-loaded helically ground rack and pinion gears systems driven by twin, solid state, digital servo drives. The Y and (2) Z axes are driven by high precision ball screws. The Vantage 36L features a Windows based control with intuitive programming software. The machine features a twin Z axis. One is for the router motor and the other is for the boring head and other options. A 360 degree programmable C- axis is standard equipment. With this feature you can take advantage of a wide array of aggregate tool units. The machine comes standard with a 14 position ride along ATC.

The "German engineered and built" Viper is designed as a high speed machining center for 2 or 3 dimensional parts. The machine is designed with high acceleration rates and high accuracy requirements through its rigid moving bed design. Designed with reliability at its core, the XL is built to fit individual customers specifications, through their choice of the 100’s of options offered by FlexiCAM.
The phenolic table top is designed for flexibility in fixturing and zoning using a Multi-Platen Table Top. Table top plugs allow for you to customize vacuum zoning every few inches of work space, insuring maximum vacuum for each component on the table bed, creating faster throughput and better cut quality. The toolchanger is available with a linear sliding ride along toolchanger, which is a first in this class of machine. With this style toolchanger, performance and cycle times are unmatched by the competition. No short cuts where taken in the design of the high speed, servo driven rotary toolchanger, insuring your tools are indexed correctly every time. Dust collection is available with up to a 10” connection at the machine to insure that you get maximum chip removal while cutting, reducing the sheet to sheet time by minimizing table top cleanup. A full gantry enclosure is also an option for this series of machine, insuring that dust stays contained on the table bad to be picked up by the chip collection.
The C-Axis, for rotating aggregate tools, is a highlight option on the XL series, as well as the addition of Specialty Cutting Groups for a high level of manufacturing flexibility. If you have a specific tool that you would like added onto the machine for your application, this can also be accommodated.
