The Joos HP-70 Öko Basic comes equipped with special patented water-heating system by electric thermal heating. These platens are lightweight for quick, efficient heat distribution. Hot water heat distribution guarantees temperature fluctuations of no more than 1 degree centigrade over the entire area of the press. Heat recovery times are reduced to minimal and energy savings can be drastically reduced over conventional oil systems.
The Joos Patented ABS Safety System is standard on the HP Öko Basic Hot Press. The ABS platen safety system prevents misloading of the press and eliminates danger to the platen caused by tilting. Press is equipped with high precision measurement of uneven pressures in the parallel-toothed rack. The press will open immediately. The edge guidance system is designed to keep the platen from moving during the closing cycle and floating bed movement does not compromise precise placement of sketch face veneer.
Special close centered I-beam design of the bed and top platen mounting surface (machined after assembly) and precision mounting fixtures for the hot platen, give a uniform pressure that results in a more solid glue bond. The Joos HP Ökotherm 2000 is the standard machine in the woodworking industry for the pressing of veneers, papers or layer materials on all flat work pieces. Even when incorrectly loaded, the Joos presses offer maximum operational safety. With its unique design, the pistons are not bolted to the press table. Instead they dynamically act on a milled contact surface under the pressing table. A column guide prevents the platen from tilting or being displaced. Synchronous operation of the platen is provided by a high-precision toothed rack parallel guidance system. This technique provides the platen with a full range for expansion in all directions. The Ökotherm is also equipped with the Joos A.B.S. Safety System to prevent damage to the heating plates and/or platen caused by closing the press onto forgotten or incorrectly positioned objects on the platen. In such a case, the press will automatically open before there is time for any damage to occur. It eliminates most of the problems caused by uneven or mis-loading of the press. ***
The Joos Ökotherm can be equipped with a patented heating system which takes hot water as the heat source and uses it in the Ökotherm heating platen. The combination of different NE-profile systems with specific heat conductor profiles results in an extremely light heating platen. To reach the same temperatures as conventional heating platens, this small mass consumes up to 60% less energy. The water permanently circulates throughout the heating platen and in doing so, regulates the optimum temperature spread across the surface of the anodized cover plates. ***

Short cycle press
Wemhöner short-cycle presses are designed and then fully assembled and ran in advance at the Herford factory to test production functions before being assembled and set up at the customer’s location. The seperate components of the overall plant are combined according to specific customer and product requirements and subsequent conditions on site. Wemhöner covers the full capability profile of the melamine short cycle lamination – from flexible lines for smallest lot sizes to high-performance lamination lines with 250 cycles/hour.
